A house clearance job sounds like easy money, but rising floodwaters, an unstable landscape and a surprise find are going to make life very difficult for Hal and Clunk.
Set in the distant future, where humanity spans the galaxy and robots are second-class citizens, Big Bang is the seventh novel in the Hal Spacejock series. Book eight, Double Trouble, is now available.
Simon Haynes is the author of eight Hal Spacejock novels for teens/adults, three Hal Junior novels for ages 8-12, the Harriet Walsh series for teens/adults, and over a dozen short stories spanning fantasy, thrillers and hard science fiction. If you're looking for super-heroes with overwhelming powers, this is the wrong author for you, because Simon's work typically features the underdog fighting for survival against powerful opponents.
All Simon's novels are self-contained, with a beginning, a middle and a proper ending. They're not sequels, they don't end on a cliffhanger, and you could start or end your journey with any book in the series. (Some events from earlier books are referenced in later ones, so it makes sense to read them in order, but it's not essential.)
85,000 words, 42 chapters. This is the complete novel, which was previously published in ten parts.

Was very glad to see the latest addition to the Space Jock series.Only down side, was that did not wish to put down, and was finished reading all to soon. Simon Haynes can be another Asimov given enough time. His tongue in cheek humor, plus great story lines, certainly show he has alot of talent.

Big Bang Book 7 in the Hal Spacejock series eBook Simon Haynes Reviews
Simon Haynes can't write fast enough for me. At the end of a stressful day a few pages of Haynes wipes my brain clean and I sleep without a worry. Unfortunately I can read faster than he chooses to write, so book 8 won't come soon enough.
Just as great has all his other books. Thanks Simon.
Its Hal Spacejock. What could possibly go wrong?
Hal and Clunk are great.
Diverting stories with very little use of foul and blasphmous language. Author is good enough to write without the use of those crutches. Like the story plots and easy to read format. Very highly recommended author. Look forward to additional stories.
Hal Spacejock is all wet, but so is his BFF, Clunk the robot. Don't miss their wettest adventure, with a human female who's not sure about Hal (no, not Harriet) and realizes Clunk is the smarter one (no, not Meredith either). Oh, yes, Navcom has adventures, too!
Another fun adventure with Hal and Clunk. I've been looking forward to this book for a while. I don't care much for serials, so I waited until it was released as one book. It's a great adventure that doesn't take itself too seriously. I usually download samples before I decide to purchase, unless I know I am likely to enjoy the author's works. When there's a new Hal Spacejock book, I know I'll like it, so I just go ahead and buy it.
