Let me just say I really liked this book... It drew me in from the beginning. .. Had me me in my feelings a few times... Imani was a great girl... I loved the friendship that she and Kennedy had... That is the best type of friendship... She has had to deal with depression after what she went through and when she finally is able to deal with it and move on all this stuff starts to happen... Now at first I really did like Ryan or should I say Lieutenant Bowers because he was really there for Imani when she really needed someone... Now that all this has come out I'm like really he is such a jerk... I can't believe he did her like that.. Really... Now Keith I was a little iffy about in the beginning but now I am all about team Keith... He only has Imani 's best interest at heart... I think the relationship that they have is what will help her deal with what is going on now... Now I can't wait to see what part 2 has to bring...Product details

After reading the description about this book I was kind of skeptical. While reading the book I was like hmmmm thats good, hmmm she crazy lol. After reading this book I was like danggg when is part 2 coming out. This was my first time reading a book by this author and I can genuinely say that I really liked it. I love Keith and I feel like Imani should really be with him. Ryan isn't a bad guy at all and I like him too I just feel like he should've told her that he was in a middle of a divorce. All in all I love every character and can't wait to read part 2.
This story will hold your attention. The author gives you enough information to let you know how things are in the army. Inanimate and Kennedy are best friends that did everything together. The joined the army together. Imani has some things to deal with when it comes to Ryan. Ryan has a lot of betrayal going on. Who will imani chose. Keith who stepped back and now has returned or Ryan even though he has these secrets. Waiting on part two.
I really enjoyed this book. Imani is such a nice person , but don't get on her bad side. I loved the friendship her and Kenndy had. I glad she had Stacks there to help her get through her hard times. I don't know how I fee about Ryan I think he really likes her, but I feel like Keith Loves her. It was sad to see her lose her baby , and specially the way she lost her. Shayla came right on time, she going to need her after losing her baby. Great story can't wait for part 2
Being a military spouse this book was very interesting to me because this things do really happen. I felt so bad for Imani when Kennedy was kilt because joining the military is something that they did together. Imani had a hard time getting through that and I hate that she fell for Ryan but I never expected him to have secret. I wish Keith would have came back before she ever gave into Ryan. I teared up when everything happened and I can wait to see what will happen in part 2.
Being prior military, I could definitely relate to this book. The author kept the basic training scenes as authentic as possible, and it took me back, I almost felt as if I were there. The story flowed well and I can tell you that fraternization between officers and non-com’s happens way more than we think. There were a couple scenes in the book that made me cry; I never deployed, but I had friends and family who did, and the scene when the best friend died, broke me down. To be honest, I was rooting for her and Ryan, that is until his little “secret” turned up. I can’t wait to read part 2. I would recommend this book to anyone, except for those with PTSD triggers.
Oh my I really loved this book and definitely could relate to it being prior military. I thought it was very cool to read about the very beginning og a soldier in the service. The story flowed well and it made me very emotional on a couple scenes. I also like how the author took tge time to explain what goes on in the basic training as well as keeping everything factual. I really like Imani she was smart and very caring she got caught up in a relationship with Ryan that was forbidden while having strong feelings for keith and even though she finally found out where she wanted to be she couldn't because of a very surprisingly gift and keith decided to step back. But Ryan was keeping secrets and that secret come back and hurts Imani very baldy and all hell is about to break loose when keith shows up again. Now Ryan and Imani have to face the consequences of their actions and will keith stay this time around and who will Imani choose.
From the very beginning I was into this story. The author did a grerat job of informing and educating a person like myself who is completely ignorant in regards to military protocol. Details were there and so was the drama.I really like Imani's character, although she was doing things to accommdate Ryan she was a very strong woman. When the tragedy with Kennedy happened it allowed us to see another side of Mani as well as the author's ability to have her audience began an emotional mess. I love a story that can have you busting up laughing at characters like Starks then feeling warm inside when men like Keith come on the scene. The last 20 pages of the book had me on edge and I swear Rema came through and pushed me off that cliff.From the conversation had Ryan may have been telling some truth but his dishonesty causes his character to be questioned. I know Keith took himself out of the equation but him staying by Mani side is all the proof I need that he is the ONE!
